2009 FIFTEEN available! 2009 became Fifteen Appellations. Calistoga was added as the 15th sub-appellations of Napa Valley in 2009, so the wine is also now Fifteen.
13 Appellations wants you to enjoy the wine in the same condition that it left the winery. To preserve the integrity of the wine, we only ship when the weather (hot & cold) is within an acceptable temperature range.
SUMMER SHIPPING: To avoid in-transit temperature extremes during the summer months, we offer 2nd Day Air (in most states). We may also delay shipments if the heat is excessive. If you select ground shipping, the winery is not responsible for the condition of the wine upon arrival.
The 2009 vintage of FIFTEEN is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, and 17% Cabernet Franc from all fifteen sub-appellations within the Napa Valley.
The wine is a balanced fusion of red and dark fruits, full of red currant, blueberry, tobacco and light leather. Hints of subtle earth compliment the fruit components without overpowering them. An allover voluminous rich mouth feel…very comfortable. The year allowed for riper growing conditions and the addition of the warmest growing region, Calistoga, shows in the wine. Only 665 cases produced.

93 Points & Gold Medal from Tastings.com
The 2008 vintage of FOURTEEN is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot from all fourteen sub-appellations within the Napa Valley. This wine combines elegant aromas of ripe bing cherries and blackberries with the richness of roasted vanilla and mocha. This is a complex and layered wine, firm tannin structure, moderately dry but plenty of darker fruit and a lasting finish. Enjoy with a nice filet mignon. This wine is reflective of the vintage and is age worthy. Only 800 cases produced.
Winemaker Steve Reynolds states, "2008 is a great vintage and many winemakers prefer it to 2007 because of the softness and beauty of the fruit balance, and I agree. This wine should rate well and be rock star for our last release of the number '14'."
